Former West Virginia Quarterback JT Daniels is retiring from football after suffering multiple concussions, per Pete Thamel.
Daniels, the former five-star, played his 2023 season at Rice after transferring from West Virginia, throwing for 2,443 yards and 21 touchdowns in nine games. He also spent time at Georgia and USC.
Daniels suffered his most recent concussion in a game between Rice and SMU on Nov. 4.
While at WVU last year, Daniels played in 10 games throwing 13 touchdowns and nine interceptions.
As Thamel noted, Daniels plans to get into coaching.
