West Virginia interim head coach Josh Eilert talked to the media following the Mountaineers 79-73 loss to St. John’s in the Big East-Big 12 Battle.

Rebounding
“We give up 18 offensive rebounds to a team like that, give them 26 second chance points, you’re not going to have a chance to win that game.”
West Virginia outrebounded the Red Storm 39-37, but the offensive rebounds and rebounds down the stretch of the game proved to be the deciding factor for the Mountaineers.
“It’s a shame we couldn’t clean up two or three of those. You know, No. 8 [Chris Ledlum] is hard to overcome. You know you come up with three or four more possessions and didn’t give them a second chance, we’re probably winning that ball game.
Aggressiveness
“Yeah, a couple of those [calls] I didn’t understand whatsoever to be honest with you. What are you going to do? I can’t get into it, it was called like an old Big East game.”
Jesse Edwards fouled out of the game with just over two minutes left in the game.
