Garrett Greene finished the regular season as one of Pro Football Focus’s highest graded quarterbacks during the regular season.
Garrett Greene graded out at 90.8 in Pro Football Focus’s recent social media post on the top 10 highest graded college quarterbacks of the 2023 season. His most recent game grade against Baylor has since been bumped up to improve his overall grade on the season to 91.1.
That 91.1 overall grade is second on the team to only HB Jahiem White, who has a 91.4 grade. It ranks seventh in the Power Five among qualifying quarterbacks, behind only Jayden Daniels, Bo Nix, Carson Beck, Conner Wiegman, Dillon Gabriel, and Jalen Milroe.
Garrett Greene has had four games this season in which he has graded out at least an 85.0, which were against Duquesne, Houston, Cincinnati, and Baylor. His only game where he graded below PFF’s base 60.0 grade was against Pitt, where he graded out at 49.9 on six snaps before exiting with an injury.
The advanced PFF passing data shows that Greene has a 62.9 adjusted completion percentage this season, up from his normal one of 53.1. His average depth of target down the field is 13.7 yards, second in the Power Five, which suggests he likes to throw down the field a lot.
He has 29 big time throws, tied for second in the Power Five, to go along with nine turnover worthy plays.
Greene still has a bowl game to add on to his impressive stats this season. Bowl matchups will be announced on Sunday, December 3.
