West Virginia basketball could be wearing alternate black uniforms against Pitt next week.
On social media Monday, the official West Virginia men’s basketball twitter account said “fade to black, wear yours” when referring to the theme for when WVU hosts the Backyard Brawl next week.
Last spring, former Mountaineer Jose Perez hinted at the possible return of the black uniforms, and it seems all the more likely they will be worn by the Mountaineers next week.
West Virginia fans have been clamoring for the return of the black uniforms, the same uniforms worn by the 2010 Final Four team. The Backyard Brawl is set for next Wednesday, Dec. 6, at 9:00 p.m., from the WVU Coliseum against WVU’s rival Pitt.
