The West Virginia Mountaineers regular season concluded yesterday following a 31-27 win over Baylor.
Throughout the season, the Mountaineers focused on running the football and that is reflected in the end of season stats.
The Mountaineers finished the season averaging 234.3 rushing yards per game, good enough for third in the country and first amongst all power five schools. Just behind West Virginia was another Big 12 team in UCF who averaged 233.2 yards per game.
The last time the Mountaineers accomplished this feat was in 2007 with Pat White, Steve Slaton, and Owen Schmitt leading the charge.
