West Virginia will wear a blue helmet, blue jersey, and gold pants uniform combination for Saturday’s game against Cincinnati.
West Virginia last wore this combination on homecoming in a 48-34 loss against Oklahoma State. Prior to that they wore this combo on Oct. 29, 2022 against TCU, on Oct. 30, 2021 against Iowa State, and Oct. 17, 2020, against Kansas. They also wore this uniform in Neal Brown’s first ever game as the WVU head coach, on Aug. 31, 2019 against James Madison.
The Mountaineers host the Bearcats this Saturday with kickoff set for 2:30 p.m. on ESPN+. The Mountaineers have not faced the Bearcats since 2011 when both teams were members of the Big East Conference. West Virginia won that matchup 24-21.
