Neal Brown updates CJ Donaldson and Doug Nester’s health status ahead of Cincinnati

West Virginia head coach Neal Brown addresed the helath status of running back CJ Donaldson and offensive lineman Doug Nester on Monday, after both were injured this past week against Oklahoma.

“We’ll see how CJ and Doug [progress] they didn’t practice yesterday (Sunday), but we’ll see how they do as we move later in the week probably have a better you know when Tony and I do the radio show on Thursday,” Brown said.

Donaldson has been huge for the Mountaineers this season. The sophomore from Miami, has rushed for 755 yards and 10 touchdowns this season, adding nine catches for 59 yards as a receiver.

Donaldson was injured in the second half against Oklahoma, feeling his left ankle. He would leave the game and not return. The power back’s freshman season would come to an abrupt ending last year after a lower right leg injury that required surgery.

Nester has been dealing with injuries since the UCF game on Oct. 28, and appeared to get rolled up on against the Sooners. This game would be Nester’s final home game as a Mountaineer.
