West Virginia running back CJ Donaldson limped off the field against Oklahoma after he went down in the third quarter.
Donaldson went straight to the ground with 9:47 left in the third quarter, as the West Virginia medical staff appeared to be tending to his left ankle area. Donaldson would be seen on the FOX tv broadcast limping along the sideline with help from two WVU personnel on both sides of him.
Donaldson’s freshman season in 2022 was cut short with a lower body injury which ended up requiring surgery however, it was the opposite leg from the leg which was injured against the Sooners. Donaldson was taken into the locker room for x-rays and further evaluation in the third quarter of WVU’s game.
Donaldson had rushed for 79 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries on Saturday night. Entering the Oklahoma game Donaldson had 676 rushing yards and nine touchdowns on the ground through nine games.
