Every time West Virginina interim head coach Josh Eilert speaks to the media, the questions surrounding the roster on West Virginia continue to be brought up.
Eilert gave somewhat of an update on Akok Akok’s health, but there was not much change surrounding RaeQuan Battle’s waiver appeal.
“No, I don’t have anything new to report. Keep crossing my fingers and thinking positive thoughts. Thought maybe I’d hear yesterday or today on RaeQuan,” Eilert said.
“My understanding is they meet on Tuesday’s but I thought maybe since it was Election Day on Tuesday, maybe it was one day delayed. I put a lot of thought into these things and probably overthink them when I should just control what I can control and move on.”
As far as Akok’s health, Eilert said he’s trneding in a positive direction/
“Nothing new on Akok. Things are certainly trending in a positive direction if I can speak from a general side of things. Everything seems to be trending positively which is great for him and his health which is something we can all put on a smile on our face for,” Eilert said.
Eilert then added that Akok is not participating in any basketball activities and that everything is in the hands of medical personnel.
