West Virginia Baseball Releases 2024 Schedule

West Virginia baseball released their 2024 schedule on Thursday.

In what will be their final year under current head coach Randy Mazey, the Mountaineers play 26 games at home at Monongalia County Ballpark, and face six different teams who played in the NCAA Tournament in 2023.

West Virginia opens the season on the road against Stetson for a four-game series starting on Feb. 16-Feb. 19. West Virginia then travels to Charlotte for a three-game series Feb. 23-25.

Following a seven-game road trip, WVU hosts their first game in the month of February since 2020, when they play host to Canisuis on Feb. 28 in their home opener.

The Mountaineers then hit the road for a three-game swing at Western Kentucky Mar. 1-3. They follow that up with a midweek game against Manhattan on Mar. 5, before opening Big 12 play.

WVU’s first of 10 Big 12 series comes Mar. 7-9 at home against newcomer BYU. The Mountaineers then are heading to Charleston, West Virginia, to face Marshall on Mar. 12, before coming back home to face Ohio State for a three-game series in what is their last full non-conference series of the year, Mar. 15-17.

The Mountaineers go to Huntington, West Virginia, to face Marshall on Mar. 20, following that up with a trip to Norman to face Oklahoma, Mar. 22-24.

WVU returns home for their next five games, the first coming against Akron on Mar. 26, before hosting Oklahoma State for a three-game series to close the month of March. West Virginia then has a scheduled home game on Apr. 2, but the opponent has yet to be announced.

West Virginia then heads on the road to face Kansas, Apr. 5-7, and then faces Marshall for a final time, this time with the game being played in Morgantown, on Apr. 10.

West Virginia hosts UCF — another Big 12 newcomer — Apr. 12-14, and then hosts Pitt on Apr. 16. The Mountaineers then travel to Lubbock to face Texas Tech Apr. 19-21, and then go on the road on Apr. 24 to play Penn State.

WVU closes the month of April hosting Baylor for a three-game series, and then heading up the road to face Pitt on Apr. 30 at PNC Park.

The Mountaineers get a close Big 12 road trip against Cincinnati to open the month of May, before getting the return trip from the Nittany Lions on May 8.

WVU’s final home weekend series is May 10-12 against Kansas State, with the home finale for the Mountaineers taking place on May 14 against Maryland. WVU closes the regular season heading to TCU from May 16-18.

The Big 12 Tournament is set to take place from May 21-25 at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas.
