After the Week 9 slate of college football, West Virginia is projected to face some of the top teams in the nation in recent bowl game projections.
The Mountaineers sit at 5-3 after their 41-28 Saturday afternoon win over UCF. Their 3-2 record in conference play has them tied for sixth place in the Big 12 with Kansas.

In CBS Sports’ latest projections, it has the Mountaineers heading down south to face off against Auburn in the Liberty Bowl. This would be on Dec. 29 in Memphis.

In ESPN’s latest projections, one of the predictors has West Virginia playing in the Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl at Amon G. Carter Stadium against Northwestern. The other predictor has the Mountaineers facing Missouri in the Liberty Bowl.
