After the Week 8 slate of college football, West Virginia is projected to face some of the top teams in the nation in recent bowl game projections.
While the Mountaineers sit at 4-3 after their 48-34 Saturday night loss to Oklahoma State. Their 2-2 record in conference play has them sitting in a four-way tie at sixth place in the Big 12 with the likes of Kansas, BYU, and Baylor.

In CBS Sports’ latest projections, it has the Mountaineers heading down south to face off against Auburn in the Liberty Bowl. This would be on Dec. 29 in Memphis.

In ESPN’s latest projections, one of the predictors has West Virginia playing in the Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl at Amon G. Carter Stadium against Virginia Tech. The other predictor has the Mountaineers facing No. 16 Missouri in the TaxAct Texas Bowl at NRG Stadium.

247’s latest projections have the Mountaineers playing in the Pop-Tarts Bowl against No. 20 Duke in Orlando, Florida.
