West Virginia football will be returning to their gold and blue roots with a blue helmet, blue jersey, and gold pants uniform combination this weekend against Oklahoma State.
It is homecoming for the Mountaineers, and they will be wearing one of their classic looks. West Virginia last wore this combination last season against TCU in a 41-31 defeat. Prior to that, they recently wore this combination on Oct. 30, 2021 against Iowa State, and Oct. 17, 2020, against Kansas. They also wore this uniform in Neal Brown’s first ever game as the WVU head coach, on Aug. 31, 2019 against James Madison.
The Mountaineers host the Cowboys this Saturday, with kickoff set for 3:30 p.m. on ESPN. West Virginia is 1-4 against Oklahoma State in games played in Morgantown since 2013. Oklahoma State has won seven of the past eight matchups between these two schools.
