The NCAA Council voted to shorten the transfer portal window for all Division I sports.
The council met on Wednesday to approve shortening the 60-day window to now a 45-day window. For college football, this move will mean they have 30 days in the fall upon the conclusion of the season to enter the portal, and then another 15-day window in the spring.
The decision is not final until the DI Council’s meeting concludes later on Wednesday.
