Morgantown product Sharon Young announced his commitment to the Akron Zips basketball program today.
Young took an unofficial visit with the Mountaineers earlier this year and received an offer in late April. In this year’s state championship game Young scored 17 points along with 10 rebounds and nine assists.
Young chose Akron over West Virginia, Ohio, Kent State, Western Kentucky, Radford, and Murray State.
