ESPN football analyst Kirk Herbstreit liked what he saw from West Virginia.
After the Mountaineers went on the road and beat TCU 24-21 on Saturday, Herbstreit released his list of the top performing teams from week five of the college football season.
West Virginia was ranked fifth on his list after their win.
Herbstreit ranked Ole Miss at No. 1, Texas A&M at No. 2, Kentucky at No. 3, Texas at No. 4, West Virginia at No. 5, Baylor at No. 6, and Bowling Green at No. 7.
Herbstreit is ESPN’s lead college football analyst as well as one of the hosts on ESPN’s College Gameday. In their segment where they pick winners of certain games, Herbstreit picked TCU to beat WVU, saying, “anybody but West Virginia.”
