West Virginia announced Aubrey Burks has been released from the hospital following a scary injury on Saturday.
Burks was carted off in WVU’s 24-21 win over TCU, and was held overnight for further testing. On Sunday, the team announced that Burks was walking under his own power and that he was being released from a Fort Worth hospital.
Burks has been the leader of West Virginia’s defense this season, playing the free safety position. Burks would appear to be conscious and talking as he left the game on Saturday.
