While the current Mountaineers continued their win streak to three, former Mountaineers were out there making their mark in Week 3 of the NFL season.
In the Thursday night game, Mountaineers were on both rosters. Giants OG Mark Glowinski did not see action while 49ers OT Colton McKivitz started and saw a season-high 66.1 grade from Pro Football Focus.
CB Rasul Douglas started and played every snap for the Packers in their win over the Saints. He recorded two tackles and a pass deflection.
Ravens safety Daryl Worley started a game for the first time this season and recorded seven combined tackles in their overtime loss to the Colts.
Dolphins LB David Long Jr. started and played 58 percent of the defensive snaps in their blowout win over the Broncos. He recorded eight combined tackles in the win.
TE Trevon Wesco started for the Titans in their loss to the Browns, playing 42 percent of the offensive snaps.
On the flip side, Browns LB Tony Fields II saw action primarily on special teams while playing two snaps on defense in the win.
Seahawks QB Geno Smith completed 64 percent of his passes for 296 yards, one touchdown, and one interception in their win over the Panthers. His interception was his first of the season.
The only team in the NFL with multiple Mountaineers on their roster, the Cardinals, pulled off the upset win over the Cowboys.
DL Dante Stills played 41 percent of the defensive snaps, while LB Kyzir White started and had 14 combined tackles and an interception in the win. White’s interception was his first since the 2021 season with the Chargers and effectively sealed the win for the Cardinals.
