Former West Virignia quarterback Will Grier is signing to the New England Patriots active roster.
Adam Schefter of ESPN said sources tell him that Grier is making the move. Grier has been on the Cincinnati Bengals practice squad since he was released by the Dallas Cowboys at the conclusion of the preseason. Grier got one game at the end of the preseason to prove his value.
Against the Las Vegas Raiders, Grier threw for 305 yards and two touchdowns, while rushing for 53 yards and two touchdowns.
The Patriots are 0-2 on the young 2023 season, and play the New York Jets this weekend.
