WVU Receiver Leads the Country in Yards Per Reception

Freshman West Virginia wide receiver Hudson Clement had a fantastic game Saturday against Duquesne in the home opener. His game was so good that he now leads all of NCAA Division One in yards per reception with 35.4. The next closest receiver in the Big 12 is Dee Wiggins, with 22.75, tied for 24th in the nation. Wiggins plays for the Cincinnati Bearcats, one of the newer teams in the Big 12.

Clement had five catches for 177 yards and three touchdowns in a Mountaineer win against the Dukes. Following the explosive performance, Head Coach Neal Brown presented Clement with a scholarship in the locker room.

With the success of Clement on the field Saturday night, this could be the start of a bright future for the young West Virginian.
