How former Mountaineers did in NFL Week 1

While the current Mountaineers took care of business against Duquesne, former Mountaineers were out there making their mark in the first week of the NFL season.

While Cardinals DL Dante Stills was a gameday inactive, LB Kyzir White stuffed the stat sheet against the Commanders. He was credited with nine combined tackles, one for loss, and a 61.6 grade by Pro Football Focus in the Cardinals’ 20-16 loss.

White also made headlines for this late hit on Commanders QB Sam Howell.

OT Colton McKivitz started at right tackle for the 49ers in their 30-7 win over the Steelers. He played 68 snaps, allowed three sacks, and graded out at 45.0 by PFF.

TE Trevon Wesco was credited with being a starter for the Titans in their 16-15 loss to the Saints. He played 25 snaps and graded out at 47.4 by PFF.

DB Daryl Worley saw action for Ravens in their 25-9 win over the Texans. He played three defensive snaps and graded out at 61.6 by PFF, while primarily playing on special teams and grading out at 61.4 in that department.

LB Tony Fields II saw action for the Browns in their 24-3 win over the Bengals. He primarily played on special teams and graded out at 57.7 in that department by PFF.

QB Geno Smith is now in his second season starting for the Seahawks, with him completing 16 of 26 pass attempts for 112 yards and a touchdown in their 30-13 loss to the Rams. He graded out at 59.2 by PFF.

Smith also made headlines for this Mic’d Up moment when he was being pressured by Rams DL Aaron Donald.

LB David Long Jr. started for the Dolphins and had one tackle in their 36-34 win over the Chargers. He played 17 defensive snaps and graded out at 39.7 by PFF.

CB Rasul Douglas started for the Packers and had eight combined tackles, a pass deflection, and a fumble recovery in their 38-20 win over the Bears. PFF graded him at 75.7 on the day for his performance.

Lastly on Sunday Night Football, OG Mark Glowinski started at right guard for the Giants in their 40-0 loss to the Cowboys. He played 70 offensive snaps and graded out at 41.7 by PFF, with him getting a 1.0 grade for pass blocking.
