West Virginia’s game against Duquesne is in a weather delay.
Following a Duquesne field goal, there was lightning detected within eight miles of Milan Puskar Stadium. This means everyone has to clear the field and there is at least a 30-minute delay.
With the delay, if there is a lightning strike within the 30-minute window, the clock resets and the 30-minute timer starts again.
WVU is leading 14-10 at the break, with 8:14 to play in the second quarter. The Mountaineers are set to receive the ball on a kickoff from the Dukes.
An announcement in the stadium read, “Please leave the seating area immediately. Seek shelter on the stadium concourse, restrooms, indoor practice facility, or return to your vehicle.”
