Week 1 of the NFL season is soon to kick off. With that, it’s time to see where former Mountaineer stars will be playing on Sunday.
Geno Smith – QB – Seattle Seahawks
Geno in year two as starting quarterback of the Seahawks will begin his season in an NFC West duel at home against the Los Angeles Rams. Kickoff is at 4:25 p.m. and the game will air on FOX.
Dante Stills – DE & Kyzir White – LB – Arizona Cardinals
Both Stills and White are expected to see the field as they hit the road to face the Washington Commanders. Not much is known about how first-year head coach Johnathon Gannon will utilize his defensive talent, so both Mountaineers alums should be seeing action. Kickoff is at 1:00 p.m. and the game will air on FOX.
Rasul Douglas – CB – Green Bay Packers
Douglas will be starting at right corner for the Packers when they head down to Soldier Field to play against NFC North division rival Chicago Bears. Kickoff is slated for 4:25 p.m. and the game will air on FOX.
Mark Glowinski – RG – New York Giants
Glowinski is slated to start at right guard for the Giants as they face off against NFC East division rival Dallas Cowboys. The game is scheduled to kickoff at 8:20 p.m. and it will air on NBC.
Colton McKivitz – RT – San Francisco 49ers
Mckivitz will start at right tackle for the 49ers in a coast-to-coast matchup at Acrisure Field against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Mckivitz will be tasked with protecting second-year QB Brock Purdy against a tough Steelers defensive line. Kickoff is slated for 1:00 p.m. and the game will air on FOX.
David Long Jr. – LB – Miami Dolphins
Long Jr. will start at right linebacker as the Dolphins head out west to face the Los Angeles Chargers. The game will kick off at 4:25 p.m. and will air on CBS.
Trevon Wesco – FB/TE – Tennessee Titans
Wesco isn’t slated to start for the Titans as they hit the road to face the New Orleans Saints, but he could find playtime depending on the formation they’re in. The game will kick off at 1:00 p.m. and will air on CBS.
Tony Fields II – LB – Cleveland Browns
Fields isn’t expected to start for the Browns as they face NFC North division rival Cincinnati Bengals but he may find playing time on special teams. The game will kick off at 1:00 p.m. and will air on CBS.
