West Virginia (2-0) hits the road to face Yale (0-0) in a Friday night matchup at Reese Stadium
This marks the season opener for the Bulldogs. They finished their 2022 campaign with a 7-4-5 record. This will be the seventh season for Yale head coach Kylie Stannard.
For the Mountaineers, they have started the season strong with two victories, a 3-0 win over California Baptist and a 2-0 win over Bucknell.
They head on the road for the first time this season in another non conference matchup. Freshman Marcus Caldeira leads the stat sheet for West Virginia with three goals. Yutaro Tsukada and Sergio Ors Navarro each have a goal apiece as well. The Mountaineers will look to keep the strong defensive efforts up, as they are yet to let up a goal.Â
