Oldest WVU Football alum visits team

The Mountaineer football team got a visit from the oldest living football alum Louis Birurakis yesterday afternoon.

The former guard played for the Mountaineers in 1944 and 1948-50 and grew up in Morgantown, West Virginia. He was a part of a great winning season in 1948 when the team went 9-3 under coach Dudley DeGroot having an undefeated 6-0 record at home.

Birurakis is one of the slew of visitors that WVU has rolled out for their team ahead of their week one opener against Penn State.
