The Reese’s Senior Bowl is one of the most notable post-college football season events that is held every year. This afternoon, five Mountaineers were listed on the Reese’s Senior Bowl Watch List. Defensive lineman Sean Martin, linebacker Lee Kpogba, offensive linemen Zach Frazier, Doug Nester, and Ja’Quay Hubbard.
In 2022, the three senior offensive linemen led a unit that blocked their way for the Mountaineers to score an average of 30.5 points per game, with a total of 24 rushing touchdowns on the season.
In his 2022 campaign, Kpogba had 92 tackles and 3.5 sacks, with his most notable game being the Backyard Brawl, which saw the linebacker lead the team with 10 tackles and a fumble recovery against Pitt.
For Martin, he accumulated 34 tackles, 4 sacks, and a forced fumble over the course of his 2022 season. Notably, he also made the Academic all-Big 12 First Team.
All five of the seniors will be in action next Saturday when the Mountaineers head up to Beaver Stadium to kick off their season against Penn State.
