According to Jon Rothstein, West Virginia basketball will be one of the eight teams to play in the 2024 Battle 4 Atlantis.
The other teams include Arizona, Creighton, Davidson, Gonzaga, Indiana, Louisville, and Oklahoma.
Arizona will be a Big 12 member this time next year, while the Mountaineers could matchup with Oklahoma who will no longer be a Big 12 foe this time next year.
The Battle 4 Atlantis is a tournament in the Bahamas, which is entering its 12th year in 2023. The event usually takes place the week of Thanksgiving.
This will be WVU’s first appearance in the event, after they were supposed to play alongside Duke and Ohio State among other in the 2020 event before it was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
This year’s tournament features Arkansas, Memphis, Michigan, North Carolina, Northern Iowa, Stanford, Texas Tech, and Villanova.
