Morgantown product Sharron Young listed his final seven schools for his recruitment and it featured West Virginia.
Young, who took an unofficial visit to WVU earlier this year, received an offer from the Mountaineers in late April. In this year’s state championship game, the 6-foot guard scored 17 points, to go along with 10 rebounds, and nine assists.
The other six schools in Young’s recruitment include Akron, Ohio, Kent State, Western Kentucky, Radford, and Murray State.
Young is in the class of 2024, and WVU currently does not have any commitments from their 2024 freshman class yet.
