Former West Virginia head men’s basketball coach Bob Huggins, who was arrested earlier this summer following an arrest for driving under the influence (DUI) was given probation during his court appearance on Tuesday.
According to documents published by WTRF, Huggins earned a 12-month probation, which has multiple components he must meet.
Huggins has his license suspended for 60 days, payment of court costs, and an Alcohol Highway Safety Program. Probation for Huggins can end if he has completed the terms by six months.
Huggins was accepted into the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition (ARD) as he is a first-time DUI offender. This means he did not have to have a formal arraignment.
The total amount of money Huggins has to pay for the total court costs is $2,810, including $300 for the highway safety program.
Huggins was arrested on June 16 in Pittsburgh as he had a shredded tire and his blood alcohol level was as .210.
