Recently, West Virginia has been making a name for itself within the NIL market.
West Virginia center Zach Frazier recently did a sponsorship with McDonalds for their mobile app. The video can be found on YouTube and includes a free coupon.
West Virginia’s NIL collective, Country Roads Trust, recently made a big splash though. In late July, the collective announced a new partnership with Big Timber Brewing Company.
Through this partnership, the Country Roads Trust Lager was announced. The beverage is intended for those 21 and up, and 15 percent of all sales go back to Country Roads Trust. The beverage hit shelves in Morgantown on August 4 and was sold out by the end of the day. As of now, the beverage is only in stores in Morgantown, but the collective hopes to have it all over the state by the end of August.
Country Roads Trust also released a new baseball hoodie just in time for the beginning of the new school year, with WVU baseball star JJ Wetherholt being the sponsor athlete for the release.
