West Virginia officially announces transfer of Quinn Slazinski

After verbally committing last Thursday, West Virginia officially announced the transfer of Quinn Slazinski.

Slazinski, a 6-foot-9, 215 pound senior forward from Houston, previously attended Iona and Louisville. This past season at Iona, Slazinski averaged 11.3 points and 5.7 rebounds whilst shooting 42.6 percent from the field. He appeared in seven games before a season-ending injury.

“Quinn is a veteran basketball player who is a high-character individual with an infectious personality and competitive spirit,” West Virginia head coach Josh Eilert said. “He’s a guy who can shoot and pass the ball. Quinn will allow us to stretch the floor with his shot-making ability. He’s very familiar with our program and the state of West Virginia after spending two seasons at Huntington Prep.”
