The Big 12 announced the conference scheduling for women’s basketball today. With the conference now having 14 teams following the additions of BYU, Cincinnati, Houston, and UCF, adjustments had to be made to how scheduling would be done. Instead of everyone playing everyone twice, every team will have five opponents that they will play twice and then they will play the other eight teams just once.
When coming up with this schedule, the Big 12 used geography, historical results, and a poll amongst the coaches to select opponents for each team.
This year, WVU Women’s basketball will play Baylor, UCF, Cincinnati, Iowa State, and TCU twice. As for the other eight teams, Houston, Oklahoma, Texas, and Texas Tech will all be traveling to Morgantown, while WVU will be traveling to BYU, Oklahoma State, Kansas, and Kansas State.
A full Big 12 schedule will be released at a later date.
