As the third day of the MLB Draft kicks off on Tuesday, West Virginia commit Chase Meyer has already made his decision to enroll in school this fall.
Meyer — a right-handed pitcher from North Carolina — has not heard his name heard over the first 10 rounds of the 20-round MLB Draft. This caused Meyer to take to Twitter on Tuesday, affirming his commitment to play for West Virginia and head coach Randy Mazey in 2024.
“Morgantown I’m staying home!! Let’s bring it home this year,” Meyer said.
Meyer is a top-rated pitching prospect from North Carolina. Meyer received a perfect 10/10 grade from Perfect Game, and they also rank him as the seventh-best player in North Carolina in his class.
