The Big 12 Conference has released their preseason poll as voted on by the media.
With football season around the corner, the Big 12 preseason poll was released on Thursday. The Mountaineers find themselves selected to finish in last place with 129 of the voting points, just one spot lower than they finished last year.
Texas was selected to finish first in the conference, receiving 41 of the first place votes. Behind Texas was Kansas State, last year’s conference champions, receiving 14 of the first place votes. The rest of the first place votes were spread amongst Oklahoma (4), Texas Tech (4), TCU (3), and Texas Tech (1).
Big 12 Football Media Days will take place next week on July 12 and 13.
West Virginia begins their season in just under 2 months at Penn State.
