James Okonkwo has committed to the University of North Carolina according to On3sports.
Okonkwo entered the portal last Monday. In two years for the Mountaineers, Okonkwo averaged 2.5 points and 3.2 rebounds per game. Okonkwo also led the team with 22 blocks.
Okonkwo has two years of eligibility remaining, but could be granted an extra year due to his limited playing time during his freshman season, as he only appeared in three games.
