West Virginia transfer Joe Toussaint will not be returning to WVU next year, he announced on Monday.
Toussaint used the 30-day window which players on West Virginia’s roster could exercise following Bob Huggins’ resignation. Toussaint was a key contributor off the bench for the Mountaineers last season, averaging 9.4 points per game.
Toussaint has been a hot commodity among teams and has taken visits to Big 12 rivals Kansas State and Texas Tech.
Toussaint went on Instagram to announce the decision saying, “this decision was made by me and I believe this is the best decision for my career after college. With that being said I will not be returning to WVU for my last year.”
Toussaint joins Tre Mitchell as the two guys on WVU’s roster who have announced they will not be returning to WVU next season. WVU is still in wait and see mode on James Okonkwo and Mohamed Wague as they are both still in the transfer portal with the option to return to West Virginia.
