West Virginia loses top QB target

West Virginia lost four-star quarterback Samaj Jones on Sunday as he announced his commitment to the Cincinnati Bearcats, who joined the Big 12 officially yesterday.

Jones is a dual-threat quarterback, and passed for 2,526 yards and 32 touchdowns, while rushing for 735 yards and 14 touchdowns as a junior.

Jones picked Cincinnati over West Virginia, Penn State, and Oklahoma and is ranked as the No. 1 quarterback in the state of Pennsylvania, having attended Saint Joseph’s Prep High School.
