WVU adds 2024 three-star safety from Pittsburgh

West Virginia added three-star safety Jason Cross from Pittsburgh, he announced on Friday.

Cross is listed at 6-foot-2, 165-pounds, and played at Bishop Canevin High School. Cross chose WVU over Michigan State and Syracuse.

Cross had 59 total tackles, 11 TFL, while adding six interceptions as well this past season. Cross also saw time at quarterback this past season.

Cross took a visit to WVU earlier in June, and is the third safety and fifth member of the secondary to be added to West Virginia’s 2024 recruiting class. This is also the second commitment the Mountaineers have picked up on Friday.
