West Virginia football announced their promotional schedule for the 2023 season on Thursday.
The Mountaineers play six games at Milan Puskar Stadium, including the Backyard Brawl, along with four Big 12 Conference games.
West Virginia’s home opener on Sept. 9 against Duquesne will be Family Day, sponsored by Coca-Cola. Families can buy four tickets and a $25 concession voucher for as low as $150 per Family Day package.
In week three, the Mountaineers host Pitt at 7:30 p.m. in the Backyard Brawl on ABC. This game will be WVU’s annual Stripe the Stadium game, as WVU hosts the Panthers for the first time since 2011.
The Gold Rush game will be on Sept. 23 against Texas Tech. All fans are encouraged to wear gold. Recent gold rush games include Kansas in 2022, Virginia Tech in 2021, and NC State in 2019.
Homecoming will take place on Oct. 21 when WVU hosts Oklahoma State. WVU beat the Cowboys last year in Stillwater, 24-19.
WVU’s True Blue game will take place on Nov. 4 against BYU and it will also be Military Appreciation Day. Senior Day will be on Nov. 18 against Cincinnati.
