West Virginia forward Tre Mitchell has transferred to Kentucky, he announced on his Instagram.
Mitchell played in all 34 games for WVU last season and started 32 of those games. Mitchell’s play was inconsistent at times during conference play, but his size and ability to play multiple positions helped WVU. He averaged 13.7 points per game and 5.9 rebounds per game this past season.
Mitchell is considered a graduate transfer after graduating from West Virginia this spring.
Michell visited Kentucky on Saturday, after entering the transfer portal on Thursday following Bob Huggins’ resignation.
