Kerr Kriisa is the second member of WVU’s 2023-2024 roster to enter the transfer portal since the 30-day window opened following Bob Huggins’ resignation, it was announced on Friday.
Kriisa was a portal pickup for the Mountaineers this offseason, after playing at Arizona.
Kriisa averaged 9.9 points per game and 5.1 assists per game this past year with the Wildcats. WVU’s Tre Mitchell entered the portal last night as the decision of who will be the head coach at WVU next year drags on.
The Mountaineers still have a lot of guards on their roster, but they too could leave for the portal.
“It’s been a crazy week,” Kriisa said to Draft Express. “I’m deeply sorry as I was looking forward to playing for Coach Huggins. Huggs will always be my guy. He is the most genuine man I have ever met.”
Draft Express also reports Kriisa will continue to monitor the coaching situation at WVU before making his decision.
