West Virginia baseball continued their offseason additions with the addition of Luke Lyman on Friday.
Lyman, a 6-foot-4, 200-pound right-handed pitcher is from Berryville, Virginia, and spent this past season at Morehead State. There, he pitched in 25 games, tossing 26.1 innings and striking out 24 with a 3.76 ERA.
Lyman has a lively fastball which sits around 94-96, toping at 97. Lyman was named to the Ohio Valley Conference Freshmen Team this past season.
West Virginia baseball is in need of bullpen help as Noah Short entered the portal and transferred to Florida State. It is also quite possible West Virginia will be without closer Carlson Reed next season as he is eligible for the MLB Draft.
