West Virginia’s alumni basketball team Best Virginia is once again participating and hosting in The Basketball Tournament this summer.
Best Virginia received the No. 1 overall seed in the Wheeling Regional on Wednesday, and in their region include two close rivals who also have alumni teams.
Best Virginia faces Dubois Dream in the first round. If Best Virginia is able to take care of business, that will set them up to clash with the winner of Herd That and Zoo Crew. Herd That is Marshall’s alumni squad, and Zoo Crew is Pitt’s alumni squad.
The three-seed in the region is Challenge ALS: Florida, and they play six-seeded Dawg Town (Georgetown). In the two-seed is Sideline Cancer — a group who has had lots of success in TBT over the years. They face Ram Nation (VCU).
The Wheeling Regional is set to take place from July 25-30, and the full TBT bracket can be found here.
