Former West Virginia linebacker Nick Kwiatkoski is signing with the Pittsburgh Steelers per Colin Dunlap after working out for the team last week.
The 30-year-old is from the Pittsburgh area and played collegiately at West Virginia under Dana Holgorsen. He was a three-year starter at linebacker and amassed 295 career tackles, six sacks, and six interceptions.
Kwiatkoski was originally drafted by the Chicago Bears in the fourth round of the 2016 NFL Draft. He spent four seasons there before playing two seasons for the Las Vegas Raiders and one for the Atlanta Falcons.
He joins a Pittsburgh Steelers inside linebacker room that has been totally revamped this offseason. He joins new acquisitions Cole Holcomb, Elandon Roberts, and Tanner Muse plus returning player Mark Robinson.
Kwiatkoski will look to compete for a roster spot in training camp this summer. He has primarily played on special teams the last two seasons.
