WVU transfer portal target withdraws name from NBA Draft

On Wednesday, college players who had entered their name into the 2023 NBA Draft, could have one final opportunity to withdraw their name and return to college or play elsewhere.

One of the ones to do so was West Virginia transfer portal target Olivier Nkamhoua.

Nkamhoua plays at Tennessee this past year and recently took a visit to Morgantown. He was deciding on whether to return to college or to play professionally, and this decision points to him returning to the college ranks in 2023-2024.

West Virginia is in contention to land Nkamhoua along with Kansas State and Michigan.

In 36 games this past season, Nkamhoua averaged 10.8 points per game, five rebounds per game, while shooting 51 percent from the field.

West Virginia is still seeking a final piece to add to their bench for next season, someone who can play the four position, similar to a Tre Mitchell type.
