West Virginia Golf’s Westy McCabe advanced to the US Open Final Qualifying yesterday.
Last Tuesday, McCabe competed at an Arkansas tournament of the US Open Final Qualifying, finishing in the top five to advance to the next round of the tournament.
He competed yesterday in Dallas, Texas and was among the 112 players cut as he finished with scores of 74 and 77 for a total of 151.
McCabe, who is a Dallas native, wrapped up his freshman season of golf this past spring. He participated in every spring tournament and finished with an average score of 74.18.
