West Virginia head coach Randy Mazey has been named Big 12 Coach of the Year, following a 39-16 finish this season.
Mazey led the Mountaineers to a share of their first ever Big 12 regular season title, and he earned his second coach of the year award. Mazey is in his 11th season at the helm of the Mountaineer program, and he is the third coach in program history with two coach of the year awards.
Mazey and the Mountaineers begin Big 12 Tournament play against Texas Tech tomorrow night at 8:30 p.m.
