Former West Virginia forward Jimmy Bell is transferring to Mississippi State, he announced on Wednesday.
Bell entered the transfer portal after starting every single game for the Mountaineers at center last year. Bell averaged 4.8 points and 5.2 rebounds for WVU and entered the portal after also trying out the football side of things this spring.
Bell entered the portal as WVU beefed up their roster by hitting the portal, including forward Jesse Edwards who is primed to take the starting role for West Virginia this season. There is then also James Okonkwo and Mohamed Wague who produced good minutes for Bob Huggins’ squad last season returning to WVU.
Bell will have one more year of eligibility remaining after starting his career at Saint Louis. Bell took a visit to Mississippi State this past weekend.
