Prior to the coaches caravan event in Wheeling, West Virginia, West Virginia University Director of Athletics Wren Baker was asked about WVU men’s basketball head coach Bob Huggins’ racial slur used in a radio interview on Monday.
Baker spoke with Jack Hillgrove of WTOV9, saying, “we really don’t have anything else at this time.”
Baker said he hasn’t had a chance to have all the facts and information yet, and then said Huggins had a conflict causing him to be unable to attend tonight’s event. Baker also added he spoke with Huggins “briefly.”
