Huggins announces official transfer of RaeQuan Battle

West Virginia head coach Bob Huggins officially announced the transfer RaeQuan Battle into the program for the 2023-2024 year.

“RaeQuan is an athletic, dynamic scorer who can score in a multitude of ways,” Huggins said. “He’s very crafty with the ball, changes speeds and utilizes the shot fake extremely well to create his own shot.

Battle spent last season at Montana State, averaging 17.7 points while shooting 46.9 percent from the field. He was named to All-Big Sky Conference First Team as well as the MVP of the conference tournament.

Battle is from Tulalip, Washington and previously attended the University of Washington.

Battle joins the official announcements of Jesse Edwards, Kerr Kriisa, Jose Perez, and Omar Silverio as the transfers who have been officially announced for next season.

Battle will be on grant-in-aid for the 2023-2024 academic year.
